I read the decor and layout articles and skipped their photo galleries. The useful sentences were about the build menu, the Q key, a welcome mat, a “Please Don’t Tap the Glass” sign, and a warning that a straight line from the tanks to the front door helps a shoplifter leave. That last point is the one I would test first.

Four layout rules the guides repeat

  1. Put the register where the queue cannot block the door. A stuck queue is a money problem, covered on the money page.
  2. Keep care products next to the pets that need them. Customers are reported to refuse the pet when the product is missing.
  3. A community decor guide advises avoiding a straight escape route from a display to the front door. The Not Today! badge confirms a 10-shoplifter milestone, but not a tested benefit from any layout.
  4. Leave a path for the boxes you carry in from the pavement. A pretty room that blocks the door fights the restock loop.
